If partying outside is what gets you going, then the Margaritaville DM900 frozen drink maker is perfect for you. This portable frozen drink machine allows you to take it wherever you want to gather with your friends or family, be it on a boat or on the beach.
Being portable, you have to assume it is battery powered. That is indeed the case. This means that you do not need to be near any electrical outlets to enjoy the full benefit of delicious home made frozen cocktails, anytime, anywhere. The Margaritaville DM900 makes it happen.
For a portable model, this is a surprisingly well featured appliance, in at least one aspect exceeding the corded entry level model in the Margaritaville series. An 18V Ni-Cd battery pack is responsible for powering this unit. Don’t be worried that you’ll run out of power every few glasses. You can create as many as 80 drinks on a single charge.
As with all Margaritaville products, the DM900 is quite easy to operate and get to grips with. With the battery firmly in place, all that’s left to do is to fill the ice container. Then just add whatever ingredients you want in your drink into the 36 ounce pitcher and you’re all set to start pressing buttons.
The first selection you need to make is the amount of drinks you want the machine to make. The choices are either one, two or three. With that, you’re all set, and the machine goes to work, perfectly shaving just enough ice for the amount of cocktails you selected. The end result: a perfect frozen cocktail.
Now, being portable, you have to expect the unit to be able to handle some bumps and bruises. Fortunately, the quality of the DM900 cannot be faulted. Among other features is has a large base to steady it. Rubber padding on strategic areas also helps with handling and protecting the machine. The Margaritaville DM900 is a fairly heavy machine. Carry bags are available for purchase separately, and we would recommend this quite highly.
With regards to operating on the battery, even after multiple uses the machine does not lose power. Cleaning is not a big problem either. This handy frozen drink maker will certainly provide you with hours of pleasure in your favorite stunning locations. Being able to take it with you is certainly a huge perk.
To summarize, although it will understandably fall short of some of the more featured cordless models in versatility, everything you need to create great frozen cocktails is provided with the Margaritaville DM900.
