Weber Q 220 Gas Grill – Portable BBQ Grill
Portable Gas Grills have come a long way in the last few years. I remember how we use to carry our Smokey Joe charcoal grill with us and although I love the taste of charcoal cooked meat… The extra time it takes to get started, waiting for cool down time, hauling charcoal (and the charcoal stains in the trunk of our car) Well, sometimes it’s just so much easier to have a portable propane grill that’s easy to haul, easy to set up and use and cooks great. Well our review today of the Weber Q 220 Gas Grill will help you see why this little gem gets high ratings and is the choice of many folks who like to be able to take their bbq grill with them on the go.
The Weber 566002 Q 220 is the new in demand cooking and grilling unit that is now ready for your grilling enjoyment. It’s a quality portable gas grill with a lightweight design that will provide users with a good grill that does what they need it to do. It comes in a fairly compact size with measurements of 32.5 x 18 x 17.5 inches which will allow you to haul it easily in most vehicles. And weighs around 41 pounds, which most of the weight seems to come from the ceramic coated cast iron grill grate. The grate has several solid sections which help prevent drippings getting down to the burner. The ceramic coating is nice because it makes it easier to clean and keeping drippings from the burner will keep the burner burning cleaner and it will last alot longer also.
It has a small profile making it easier for you to transport it anywhere you go. It maybe small but it offers generous cooking space of 280 square inches, so you can cook plenty of foods in just a snap. It will hold around 12 quarter pound hamburgers (depending on how flat you make them) and 7 to 9 hot dogs. Another plus in the design is the height of the cover over the grilling surface. It will permit you to cook most chickens whole plus nice sized roasts and other larger meat portions. The design makes it many ways bigger than what it really is.
The Weber Q220 gas grill is a perfect choice for camping and other out door parties, neighborhood cookouts, tailgate parties,at the beach and pretty much anywhere you want to barbeque at. Additionally, it is perfect for individuals who definately have an intense passion for grilling. The Weber Q220 is very user friendly to use which means you won’t need to concern yourself with and barbequeing headaches whatsoever.
Simply just start it up, using the Electronic ignition for simple as well as safe and sound lignting and then your all set to go. I comes with a simple to fine tune burner valve which will allow you to regulate the temperature along with the assistance of their dependable and reliable regulator. So what exactly are the pluses and minuses with this Weber bbq grill?
Pros:
* It really quite simple to assemble (10 to 15 minutes) and use.
* Very solid construction
* Taller grill lid then other models for larger pieces of meat
* The cast iron grilling surface makes for a very reliable, dependable and long lasting grill.
* The 2 side tables and very beneficial by providing you much more room to place your food, utensiles, and condiments.
Cons:
* A little on the heavy side. The trade off is cheaper construction.
