Commercial kitchen hood and products

Today, commercial exhaust hoods and filters come as part of modular kitchens. The purpose served by commercial exhaust hoods is that they capture and absorb the heat, water vapor, smoke and other vapors which arise from the stove tops and cooked foods. Hood filters are devices which restrict the flow of flames into the exhaust duct. These filters too, capture grease and oil vapors and steam. Basically, commercial exhaust hoods are classified into two:
Type I hoods are for the appliances that produce smoke and oil vapors, while Type II hoods are for the appliances producing moisture and heat.
Components of commercial exhaust hoods:
A complete commercial kitchen essentially consists of three features.
The prime component involved in a commercial exhaust hood and kitchen ventilation system is a Type I kitchen hood. This hood consists of a heat absorbing roof which filters vapors, grease and smoke. It is also associated with a fire suppression system.
The next important component in a commercial modular kitchen is ductwork. Though ductless kitchen units are available, the most effective kitchen management hoods come with ducted kitchen exhaust fans. The ducting should be installed to kitchen exhaust fan and it should be vented.
The third and final component of kitchen hood is an exhaust fan which should be placed either on the ceiling or on the kitchen wall. The fan can even be placed on the roof.
