Information (of the relative position) as the fifth, sixth and seventh dimensions
A point on an object exists in three spatial dimensions. I will call this point Point A. When light hits Point A, it is reflected back into space and forms a line, the last point of which I will call Point C. This creates the line AC. There are an infinite number of points on line AC. I will choose one of them and call it Point B. From Point B it is possible to see the relative position of Point A on the object. On Point B is the information of the relative position of Point A.
From Point B it is possible to see the relative position of infinite points on the object. On Point B is the information of the relative position of infinite points on the object.
On each point on the line AC is the information of the relative position of infinite points on the object.
For every point on one of the objects’ space-time dimensions, there are an infinite number of points on another space-time dimension. In the same way, for infinite points on the object, there are an infinite number of points on line AC. For every point on line AC, there are an infinite number of points on the object.
Much as a point on the first dimension is extended infinitely on another dimension, Point A is extended infinitely on the line from it to Point C. AC is a measurable magnitude with a direction which is independent of the size and direction of the four space-time dimensions. In this respect, the line from Point A to Point C is a dimension of its own. It is the fifth dimension of the object – an “information dimension.”
The light is reflected from the object to a volume that has three independent dimensions. These three information dimensions are the fifth, sixth and seventh dimensions of the object. These dimensions denote the area where is information of the relative position of an object. These dimensions connect between the object to the observer.
Point A has three coordinates. Three more coordinates are needed to denote one of the infinite points influenced by Point A on the information dimensions. Point B is influenced by an infinite number of points on the object. While it already has three coordinates, it too needs another three coordinates to denote one of the infinite points influencing it. From here we can see that every point on the object needs six coordinates – three marking its position on the object, and another three marking its position on the information dimensions.
The information dimensions are higher than the space-time dimensions. We can see in them objects and events from the past. This can be demonstrated using the example of a star. The light we see reflecting from the star is time-delayed, as it takes the information vector, created by the light, a significant amount of time to reach our planet. The star is no longer as we see it – in fact, the star may have died and we still be influenced by it. We will continue to see its image until the light from the explosion reaches us. When we look at the star, we see an object from the past. We are connected and influenced by the past via the information dimensions.
Summary
The first seven dimensions are three spatial dimensions, one time dimension, and three information dimensions. The information dimensions exist alongside the spatial dimensions and connect the observer to the objects. The information dimensions are needed to change the position of an object compared to other objects and to change the inner structure of an object by changing the relative position of each particle within the object.
The three information dimensions are the fifth, sixth and seventh dimensions of an object.
