Undercooked Fried Deli Chicken?
While eating lunch today, I noticed that the center of a fried chicken thigh was really red. I know it was dark meat, but there a piece of bone (marrow?) in there that was dark red and the surrounding meat was quite red, but meat around that looked done. I quickly stopped eating once I noticed the extent of the redness. Did I just eat undercooked chicken? I’ve noticed similar redness before, but this is by far the worst I’ve seen. I don’t understand. This chicken is from WinCo and they’ve always done a great job. Now I’m really worried.
